Nelson are delighted to announce the signing of South African international Reeza Hendricks as pro for the 2018 season.
The club had hoped that Devon Conway would return this season but his career in New Zealand looks to be taking off after a successful spell with Wellington Firebirds.
In Reeza the club believes they have signed a player of genuine quality who can help new skipper Russell Bradley push the team forward and bring on some of the young talented players at the club.
Reeza plays for the Lions in his native South Africa where he opens the batting and bowls medium pace or off spin. In January, he became the first player to score centuries in all 3 formats of a domestic franchise season and has also been recently selected in the South Africa T20 squad for a 3 match series against India in February.
The club wish Reeza well for the remainder of the season at home and look forward to his arrival in the Lancashire League.
The club would like to thank Gary Hunt of Cric Intro for facilitating the speedy signing of Reeza
